Édith Carron is a French illustrator who has been working out of Berlin for the past ten years, and her portfolio comprises a beguiling combination of fun, socially-conscious and mischievous themes delivered in coloured pencil, print, and animed project. She studied illustration in the Estienne school of art in Paris, in Strasbourg Arts Décoratifs School and has also a diploma from the in Berlin Weissensee school of art. Droll, spontaneous and colourful, her work explores social and sociological themes – particularly looking at representations of women in modern life. Edith Carron illustrates for many international editorial magazine such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, or M le Monde Magazine. She regularly posts a collection of personal works in her Journal, in which she takes snapshots from everyday life and makes them look like something out of a technicolour children’s book-inspired dream.
